Motivational Fit
The motivational fit is crucial in a job search. Job seekers often assess a position at the technical level only. “Do I have the right skills?”, “do I have the experience in this type of work?”.
While this is extremely important, the motivational fit is often left out, or treated as a less important issue. The motivational fit defines, among others, the company values, the work atmosphere, the management style with which you would be the happiest. Even if finding the ideal is not easy, you can approach a closer fit. You will also identify what would completely deter you from working for a specific company.
For instance, if you have left a company because you couldn’t cope with the work rhythm, the constant overtime, the pressure put on you, why reply to a job opportunity stating “candidate must be resistant to stress”.
If you like to work under strict guidelines, with a lot of supervision, why reply to a job opportunity stating “strong job autonomy”.
We will look at various company web sites to identify, sometimes between the lines, what it is like to work for them.
This will last 2 hours, face to face
